Introduction

Code Européen des Voies de Navigation Intérieure (CEVNI) is the code governing navigation on the interconnected European inland waterways. Passing the ICC CEVNI test simply allows the Inland category on your International Certificate of Competence (ICC) to be validated, thereby indicating that you have demonstrated knowledge of the traffic regulations applicable on inland waters, in particular the CEVNI, as required by Resolution 40.

Course content

  • Signs, rules and procedures for navigating many of the European inland waterways.

Pre-course requirements:

EITHER:

  • A qualifying RYA practical course completion certificate;

OR:

  • Have passed an ICC assessment at an RYA recognised training centre and be eligible to be issued with an ICC.

The CEVNI Test

You can take the ICC CEVNI test through Falmouth Powerboat School. This is a multiple choice paper.

There are two options:

  • A paper based test;
  • An on-line test.
