P-SY Crew Development Training (option 2)
Our series of Crew Development Training Programmes (P-SY) have been created specifically for those interested in junior interior or deckhand crewing positions on board a commercial vessel or keen to pursue a career within the superyachting industry.
If you’re looking to widen your number of qualifications or level of experience to open up employment opportunities within the superyachting industry then our Crew Development Programmes are ideal.
They are also completely flexibility, allowing up to 12 months to complete training courses from the date of purchase. All you need to do is select from any of our training course dates throughout the year or speak to our experienced team to discuss you needs in more detail.
Course content
This course includes 5 components:

STCW Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD)
8 hoursClassroomFor seafarers who are given designated security duties on board a ship, this STCW Proficiency in Designated Security Duties course (PDSD) will teach the essential knowledge, practices, and regulation required for compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code. Covering topics such as ship security, threats and procedures, this course is essential for those tasked with gangway watches, stowaway searches and baggage searches as well as maritime piracy.View course -
STCW Basic Safety Training Course (BSTC)
5 daysThis course covers all the elements for a basic understanding of staying safe at sea through practical examples to help individuals learn how to handle different types of emergencies at sea. View course -
