As one of the most dangerous building materials ever-used, Asbestos causes thousands of people to fall ill or die each year and it was widely used by the construction industry right up until 2000. The Control of Asbestos Regulations (CRA) 2012 apply to employers, employees, self-employed persons and duty holders and cover all work with asbestos containing materials. Regulation 10 of CAR states that 'every employer must ensure that adequate information, instruction and training is given to employees who are liable to be exposed to asbestos. This includes maintenance workers and others who may come into contact with or disturb asbestos.' This one-on-one, tutor-led, interactive e-learning course is aimed at anyone who may come across Asbestos, or employs people who may come across Asbestos, as part of their work. As well as informing students about the risks of working with asbestos, this course will deliver detailed information around recognising asbestos, learning where it’s used, how to minimise the risks and the legislation about working with asbestos.

Our Control of Substances Hazardous to Health online course is designed for anyone who needs to be aware of the risks presented by handling substances which are hazardous to health and the ways to reduce them. This includes anyone who may be exposed to Substances Hazardous to Health at work, as well as line managers with responsibility for such people. The tutor-led, interactive course covers everything you need to know about the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health, including hazards, exposure, risks and risk assessment, control measures to avoud harmful exposure to hazardous substances in the workplace as well as how to deal with COSHH emergencies.

This one-on-one, tutor-led, interactive e-learning course provides students with the basic knowledge of Food Safety practices which will help to reduce health hazards when working with food such as premises hygience, personal hygiene, risk control, pest control and waste management. Suitable for those working in a catering environment who are not directly involved in the preparation or handling of high-risk foods, those who work in an environment where food is handled elsewhere or those who only deal with low-risk foods, this course is also ideal for anyone working with pre-packaged or wrapped food. This level 1 course is a universally accepted foundation for food safety and can be a stepping stone course onto the Level 2 Food Safety – Retail.
