Food business operators in the UK are required to ensure that food handlers receive appropriate supervision and instruction/training in food hygiene in line with their work activity and should enable them to handle food safely. This one-on-one, tutor-led, interactive e-learning course provides students with a basic understanding of food safety and hygiene within the retail sector, covering issues such as displays for sale and hot display units, along with storage and preparing food for retail. Suitable for any food handler working in a retail environment, such as supermarkets, butcheries, bakeries, and farm shops, market stalls and delicatessens, students will be taught premises hygiene, personal hygiene, risk control, pest control and waste management amongst other vital skills.  

Safeguarding is a term that describes the work and processes undertaken to minimise and manage the risks involved in working with others, particularly children and the vulnerable. This course is aimed at anyone who has a duty of care for children, or comes into contact with children in any type of working role, including as a paid professional or volunteer. During this one-on-one, tutor-led, interactive e-learning course, students will hear many facts, figures and details surrounding the risk to children, the types of abuse suffered, how to recognise the signs of abuse and key safeguarding legislations put in place to minimise the abuse of children. It is essential that you and and the organisation you work for undergo such training and take appropriate measures to protect the children in your care.
