Asbestos Awareness Training Course
As one of the most dangerous building materials ever-used, Asbestos causes thousands of people to fall ill or die each year and it was widely used by the construction industry right up until 2000.
The Control of Asbestos Regulations (CRA) 2012 apply to employers, employees, self-employed persons and duty holders and cover all work with asbestos containing materials. Regulation 10 of CAR states that ‘every employer must ensure that adequate information, instruction and training is given to employees who are liable to be exposed to asbestos. This includes maintenance workers and others who may come into contact with or disturb asbestos.’
This one-on-one, tutor-led, interactive e-learning course is aimed at anyone who may come across Asbestos, or employs people who may come across Asbestos, as part of their work. As well as informing students about the risks of working with asbestos, this course will deliver detailed information around recognising asbestos, learning where it’s used, how to minimise the risks and the legislation about working with asbestos.
We will send you your log-in details which will enable you to complete the course at any time to suit you. Each time you log in, you’ll be able to see the progress you have made and our e-learning portal will remember where you left off last time – so you can continue your training quickly and easily. You can also go back through the learning content as often as required to help retain the information needed to keep you and your business safe and compliant.
Our presenter Nigel will guide you through all the knowledge and understanding you need in a series of videos followed by some multiple choice questions. You’ll have three attempts to complete each module before you’ll need to call us.

On successful completion of the course you will be awarded an electronic Certificate of Training in Asbestos Awareness.
